About Bible Baptist Ministries

The purpose of the Bible Baptist Ministry (BBM) is found in the words of II Timothy 2:1-2 in which the Apostle Paul gives his farewell address to his son in the faith, Timothy.

“Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus, And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.”

Please note the expression in verse 2, “...able to teach others also.” In this verse the Bible talks about Paul, Timothy, faithful men, and others. Paul taught Timothy; Timothy was to teach faithful men; faithful men were to teach others. Training others is the Biblical method of reproducing godly people.

Now in Psalm 78:1-7 we read,

“Give ear, O my people, to my law: incline your ears to the words of my mouth. (2) I will open my mouth in a parable: I will utter dark sayings of old: (3) Which we have heard and known, and our fathers have told us. (4) We will not hide them from their children, shewing to the generation to come the praises of the LORD, and his strength, and his wonderful works that he hath done. (5) For he established a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers, that they should make them known to their children: (6) That the generation to come might know them, even the children which should be born; who should arise and declare them to their children: (7) That they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments... ”

This passage emphasizes the purpose of one generation teaching the next generation, particularly as seen in verse 7, “That they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments...”

As I look back over my seventy-eight years of life, I am grateful to God for the great spiritual heritage I received. Over the years, many, many people invested their lives in me. Among them have been my godly parents now with the Lord, Sunday school teachers, youth leaders, college professors, pastors, and friends. Looking forward, I want nothing less than to invest the remainder of my life in teaching and training others.

The Bible Baptist Ministry focuses on four expanding areas.

FIRST: The Weekly SERMON and devotional letter published 46 times a year.

SECOND: The Retirement Community and Nursing Home ministry! This will consist of three things. First: a Monthly Devotional letter with a Bible puzzle on the back. Second; A Monthly story behind the Hymns of the faith. Third; A printed copy of the Weekly SERMON. The goal is to expand the distribution of devotional letters and sermons to local nursing homes and local retirement communities.

THIRD: The Sermon Manuals will be published in a notebook format. For a number of years now my ultimate goal is to publish 70-75 volumes of all the areas of my ministry and all sermon series with others. After at least twelve volumes are completed, they will also be made available on a thumb/flash drive.

FOURTH: The Barnabas ministry of prayer, encouragement and support to the smaller churches and the Pastors of those churches is being developed!

The Bible Baptist Ministry is under the Trinity Baptist Church of Lititz, PA.
